A Touch of Light
Tooronto, ON‘A Touch of Light’ was a visceral exploration of the intersection of sound and sight. The responsive lighting sculpture served as a visual accompaniment to the marathon of live piano performances taking place throughout the night.
‘A Touch of Light’ repurposed a vintage signage marquee composed of 128 incandescent light bulbs into a real-time visual processor of alternative musical notation and energies. Within the intimate confines of the Canadian Music Centre’s performance room, the installation cast a mesmerizing spell over visitors as the piece responded to the range of solo piano performances taking place hourly.
