Catch & Release Adjacent Possibilities
Toronto, ON

The event Adjacent Possibilities was organized Selected by the organization Studio Y, based at MaRS Discovery District, LeuWebb was teamed with Hydrostor, a clean tech company which stores energy below the surface of the water in inflatable balloons. One of the most compelling applications of Hydrostor’s system is its simple and economical means of storing energy through air compression. Catch & Release repositions elements related to Hydrostor’s technology to stimulate curiosity and invite questions.
Catch & Release uses air as its primary medium. The inflation and deflation of the piece is triggered by the movement of occupants in the atrium, touching on the intermittent nature of energy production and demand.
