Commissioned by the Drake Devonshire Hotel for their winter 2016 season, Radiantactivity provided a shimmering presence that reflected the sky’s changing light and expanded visitors’ spatial perception within the hotel’s courtyard.
Helping animate the long winter nights of Wellington, Prince Edward County, Ontario, the piece’s crystalline pattern of mirrors alluded to snowflakes while active lighting created dynamic reflections across the surface of the surrounding snow and grounds.
