We Are Here

‘We Are Here’ is a multi-part, community-engaged work in Triangle Park located in the Lawrence Heights neighbourhood of Toronto. Consisting of words and phrases to be developed through consultation with community members, the overall piece proudly exclaims the presence and vitality of past, present, and future residents of this revitalized neighbourhood. Operating at a variety of scales, from a billboard to a small stage to imprints of names within the concrete sidewalk, ‘We Are Here’ seeks – through its creation and fabrication processes – to include community members of all backgrounds.
